YEMEN (Imamate)—1951 SCARCE Pictorial Definitives, MNH/F-VF—Scott 68-77

The 10-value postage set of pictorial definitives issued by Yemen in 1951. Printed in Rome, these stamps show scenes of the country, its national flag, and the ubiquitous coffee plant. A matching 7-value airmail set has other scenes, and is much more common and less valuable. This postage set is SCARCE mint never-hinged—and here's why: the 3 low values were extensively overprinted with various versions of the atrociously ugly "4b boxed surcharge" (see Scott 82, 86-87), leaving very few complete mint sets available. CTOs of the higher values are plentiful and cheap. Listed in Scott as 68-77 at a totally ridiculous value of only $20.05; in Michel as 122-31 at a more reasonable Euros 60 (about $78). MNH/F-VF.

ATTENTION ALL BIDDERS AND BUYERS!

    1. 1)  Wait for my invoice before you send payment to ensure prompt, accurate shipping. Shipping costs vary (see below), and I will always combine shipping of multiple lots to save you money. I pack all items carefully and securely. Unless previous arrangements are made by the buyer, lots will be held only for 7 days, after which they may be relisted or ended, and the buyer will be reported to eBay as "No Pay."

    2. 2)  Please use Paypal to send payments. It's quicker and easier for both of us. For customers who do not have access to Paypal, U.S. dollars by registered mail is acceptable. Ask questions about payment before you place a bid, please.

    3. 3)  Shipping information—Recent U.S. Postal Service changes force me to charge higher shipping fees. For a few stamps sent in a standard envelope, the flat charge will be $1.00 for delivery to a U.S. destination, or $3.00 to an international address. For souvenir sheets, thick or heavy items that require larger envelopes or stiff or thick padding, the cost will vary—from $3.00 for U.S. delivery, or $7.00 or more for international delivery, depending on weight and size.

    4. 4)  Postal Registration cost of $12.95 will be added to any international order of $100.00 or more. For lesser amounts, please tell me if you want your shipment registered, and the cost will be added to your order.

    5. 5)  Import duties, taxes, and chargesif any, are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs might be prior to bidding or buying. I will not undervalue merchandise or mark items as “gift” or “documents” or “photos” on customs forms. Please understand that these are international legal requirements.

    6. 6)  Return policy—Unless an item is described "as is," returns may be accepted within 14 days. Advise me immediately after you receive the item. Please note that returns are accepted ONLY for items that are defective or described incorrectly. Stamps are not sent "on approval." I am very careful in describing each lot, and have a very high rating for customer satisfaction. Please check my feedback history. Bid with confidence!

    7. 7)  I truly appreciate your business and will do everything within my power to make our exchange a pleasant and positive experience. If any problem should arise, please contact me immediately.

    8. 8)  Please see my home page. Click on ord392 in the upper right-hand corner above to go to my home page and learn more about me and what I have to offer. Thank you for looking at my lots, and hopefully bidding and winning!
