ONE Large Musket Flint.


These are musket flints of varying sizes recovered from the 1805 wreck of the East India Company ship The Earl of Abergaveny.

  The flints would have been used in the EIC Brown Bess muskets.

The recovered flints part of the ships cargo are all damaged from 100's years of movement on the sea bed.

The flint sent will come with a brief history of the ship wreck.

The Musket Flints vary in size but all are approx.   1" - 1 1/4"   x   1"  -  1 1/4"   ( 2.5 - 3.0  x  3.0 - 3.5 cm. ).

You are bidding on ONE flint and the flint received will be taken at random  from one of those shown in the photo.


Please note that as the flints are all hand knapped they are individual and unique with variations in shape and colour.

These shipwreck recovered flints were individually picked up from the sea floor at the wreck site and all are damaged to some extent.

The one received may have small/large edge chips/damage or some crustation from being on the sea bed for over 200 years.
