~ Antique Shaker Leather Sewing Roll Up Needle Pin Case ~ AAFA

 

This is a lovely Victorian deep cocoa-colored leather sewing roll-up and

pin case, with attached strawberry emery. It is lined in a pale pink silk,

and edged and tied with a pistachio colored silk binding trim. 

The interior has 3 layers of wool with pinked and hand embroidered edges.

Strawberry emery is hand sewn of silk and silk velvet, with stitched "seeds".

It measures 8-1/2" inches in length when open and 5-1/4 inches wide.

 

 Circa: 1865 

 

Condition:

GOOD

Wear appropriate to age with slight blemishes to leather.

Wool is moth eaten with small amount of holes on outer edges.

Binding trim is faded with some deterioration to edges.

Please look at photos closely before purchasing.

No repairs or alterations.
