This is a classic Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogon 25mm f/4 lens on Exakta mount. This lens is in excellent condition optically and cosmetically. It ships in an original leather hard case with front and rear lens caps. The Zeiss Jena Flektogon was produced from 1960 until 1962 and takes in an extremely wide angle of view of 81º. For shooting in tight spaces it’s ideal. For landscapes with huge sky and lots of foreground it’s perfect. For having fun with distorted and exaggerated portraits there’s nothing better than the CZJ Flektogon.
The optics of this wonderful wide angle are clear, clean and unmarked in coatings or glass. The diaphragm operation is smooth and quick and the barrel cosmetics are quite good. The front edge shows a repaired dent that does not interfere with attaching a 77mm filter. The front lens cap appears to be original though the rear cap is a replacement.
