Seeds

This sale is for five quality mandrake seeds, Mandragora officinarum or true mandrake .

The seeds have been carefully selected by a grower in England.

The seeds have been pre stratified so they can be planted immediately .

If you require unstratified seed please email me and I will change them .Unstratified seed will keep longer in storage .

The Mandragora officinarum is the spring flowering variety of mandrake .Depending the climate it will slowly push out bright green leaves from the central root .As they get larger the colour darkens and they flatten out ,the leaves can grow up to one foot long and about 5inches across.

In the months of January through April a mature plant  will produce between one and three cup shaped delicate flowers .It is sometimes called white mandrake .

Postage and packaging

I will post your items as quickly as I can after payment has been received.

All plants in pots are posted Monday and Tuesday so if you pay late Tuesday or Wednesday I will not post the plants until the following Monday .This removes any stress that might be caused by a weekend stay in the post office.

 

The postal service has been very fast and efficient so far.  But when it leaves melsplants it is at the postal services mercy and it’s out of my hands. I am not responsible for any loss or damage.

I always get proof of postage and can verify this with the counterfoils. I can have the items recorded and insured if requested, please ask for a quote. 

 

Legalities

All my plants are purchased from licensed supplier’s or grown by me .If you live outside the UK before you purchase any item from me it is the buyer’s responsibility to make sure that the plant, seeds or roots are legal to import to the buyers country. I can accept no responsibility for holdups seizures or confiscation at customs.

 

All plants and seeds are sold for planting purposes only .Plants and seeds should always be considered toxic unless you know different and I make no claim for the edible or medicinal properties.
