A very large and gorgeous 18th century Italian silver filigree reliquary, with it's original fitted Florentine leather case, in very good antique condition. The filigree is in good shape. The glass front window is a bit pushed in at the bottom, but it doesn't really affect the appearance of the relic, I just mention it for the sake of accuracy. The bale at the top seems to be a later addition, and there is a small amount of glue residue visible mainly on the back. The case is a bit rougher, as can be seen in the photos. The back is missing it's leather cover, and the cloth hinge is barely intact, but the old iron hook and latch are still present, and quite charming. Including the bale, the reliquary measures approximately 3" x 2 3/4". The case is about 3 3/4" x 3"x 7/8".
