EMBELLISHMENT

Swarovski crystal elements (otherwise known as Rhinestones) are perfect to add sparkle to a wide range of items. You can use them to embellish and decorate nails, clothes, theatre and dance costumes (country and Irish), equestrian outfits, wedding dresses, shoes, pet collars and for card making. As a guide, I would advise using the crystal sizes below:
  • Beauty / Hand Nail Art - SS3, SS4, SS5 or SS6
  • Foot Nail Art - SS7, SS8 or SS9
  • Mobile Phone Covers - SS9
  • Shoes / Trainers - SS12, SS16 and SS20
  • Clothes / Costumes / Wedding dresses - SS12, SS16, SS20, SS30, SS34, SS40 and SS48

Flat-Backs No Hotfix are backed with platinum foiling for extra brilliance and protection, and for easy application to a variety of materials using standard glues. We supply a wide variety of glues in our ebay shop. Please note: do not use hot glue or super glue as this will damage the foil backing.


SWAROVSKI CRYSTAL CUT & SIZE TOLERANCE:

The cut and number of facets on each Swarovski crystal changes as the size of the crystal increases. Swarovski distinguishes between the crystal cuts with the following crystal names; Rose FB, Xilion Rose and Xirius Rose. In addition to this, Swarovski also distinguish between whether the crystal is Hotfix or No Hotfix by using Article Numbers. The table below illustrates the correlation between, crystal size, crystal cut & name and the articles numbers for hotfix and no-hotfix. 

There is a 0.2mm tolerance in the dimension of a Swarovski Crystal and therefore the size we have advertised is taken from mid-way from the size range. This information is also included in the table below:
