This is the Starcom call signal beacon. This product works with Clearcom, Production Intercom, Technical Projects, and some other 3 wire intercom systems.  It is powered by the intercom power supply.

 

Whenever a call button is pressed at any beltpack or station, Starcom responds with a bright signal lamp that is visible even under daylight conditions, and an audible pulsing beep tone that is loud enough to be heard in most rock concert situations.  The lamp remains lit for several seconds, eliminating the need to hold the call button down. The beeper can be switched off if desired, or attenuated with a layer of tape.   

 

Current draw is 10 mA (standby) and 160 mA (activated).  Most intercom power supplies will have no problem powering several units. Each purchase is for one unit.

 

The unit is housed in a rugged, unbreakable ABS enclosure, with a metal end plate for the connectors.  It is lightweight, and has rubber feet. It can sit on your expensive audio console without damage. Parallel male and female connectors are provided for loop-through.  The Green LED indicates when the com line has power.

 

The unit measures 5 1/2" L, X 3 1/4"W X 3" H.

 

This product WILL NOT WORK WITH TELEX OR RTS intercom systems, as they  use a different signalling system.

 

Starcom lists for $175.00, and we are offering these factory direct for $99.00 each.  This is less than dealer’s cost for competitive units.
