Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin.
Reverse: ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ, Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; kerykeion in left field, AP monogram below throne.

Lifetime or early posthumous issue: Arados mint: Struck 324-320 BC. 

Good Fine condition: Weight: 16.8 grams. Diameter 25.6 mms.

Nice portrait for the grade and good silver.


When Alexander the Great invaded Phoenicia in 332 BC, Arados, submitted without a struggle and their navy assisted Alexander in the reduction of Tyre.
