Schneider 35mm F4.0 PA Curtagon M42 Zeiss M42 screw mount

This is a very unusual version of the great Perspective control shift lens. The PA Curtagon has been a long time favorite of commercial photographers for more than 40 years with its fine performance and very shift capability. Along with the obvious use for architectural photography the PA Curtagon is superb on small objects in the studio. Most of my ebay photos are taken with one (I have several). The shift comes in very handy when dealing with reflections on shiny objects like lenses.. It is also incredibly sharp even when used at small apertures and focused close. Minimum focusing is 12 inches (300mm) . It is marked Zeiss Contarex. I am told it was made in the late 60’s for the Zeiss Ikon Icarex 35mm SLR for a short time. Most were made in the Leica Leicaflex R mount.

It is unusual in the M42 screw mount that is easy to adapt to many digital cameras including Canon EOS, Micro 4/3 Nikon 1 and many others and it is of the highest quality. I know it is a great lens and I have used it for many years. The glass is clean and the focus works smooth and positive. The aperture is a little stiff.
