Elegant C1895-1900 Victorian Wedding Dress with Train, Embellished w Irish Crochet
This lovely two piece dress is made with off white silk chiffon embellished with hand done 3D Irish crochet on the bodice and skirt.
Bust measurement is about 39"-40", and the waist is 28". Front length is 60" and the back length is 76".
The inner waistband is marked "Miller + Co New York".
Condition is very good, certainly wearable. There are a few small repairs in the lower skirt area. No underarm stains or other problems.
Upon close inspection I believe the bodice has been altered to fit a larger size. It would appear that the back of the bodice has pieces added over the original back closure. I believe these could easily be removed and the dress could be returned to its original size if wanted. I am selling it just as I found it. Original boning and linings are all intact.
