This is an original store display for a Ronson Varaflame lighter from the late 1950's. 

              I was lucky enough to get two of these Ronson displays many years ago from the Seymore Rappaport estate.     Mr Rappaport was an industrial designer turned sculptor from New Jersey, who in 1957 patented the iconic steamlined Ronson lighter, the "Varaflame".... , print advertising from 1958 issued for Ronson Varaflame lighters

 I am not sure how many of these displays were produced, or how many survived the past sixty years. I have never seen another one. It is made of black plastic and brass and it has never been used and actually never out of New Jersey. I dont want to even remove the white paper covering, and I flipped it back only for these photos.

         A great item for a Varaflame enthusiast, and a nice addition to any Ronson collection.
