- This tray was cleaned up. The thermal grease replaced with high-performance Artic MX4.
- The heatsinks retainers for the NorthBridge chip were replaced. The originals break after a while and causes random restarts.
- I used delidded CPUs like in the picture. Most other people used non delidded CPUs. This forces the heatsinks out of the position the MacPro was originally designed. On my opinion, it opens the door for all kind of stupid stuff.
- I have personally used this tray on my own MacPro for at least a week. No problem whatsoever

- Before you can use this tray, you need to upgrade the 0firmware from MacPro4,1 to MacPro5,1.
- This is easy to do with a little help 0from me. I will send you the utility and same instrucctions.
- It would be even better for you and me that you upgrade before even buying this tray. Do not worry, even if you do not buy the tray, the machine will be able to use your old quad-core/eight-core trays.
- The upgrade to MacPro5,1 0firmware has the added bene0fit it allows you to install macOS Sierra without crazy patches.
