SONY TC-K515S 3-head Cassette Deck with Dolby S – new belts fitted

Manufactured by Sony in Japan in 1994 to a good standard this deck replaced the TC-K511S. 

Sony modified this deck so that it doesn’t have the capstan motor running all the time the deck is switched on; so prolonging the life of the capstan motor. 

Dolby insisted that decks must reach a good standard if Dolby S was fitted.  Dolby S was a cheaper version of Dolby SR which was an expensive professional noise reduction system.

Cassette deck is in good condition, display is clear and bright, facia is lightly scratched as is the top (from stacking).

Mini service completed – cleaned heads, capstan and changed pinch roller.  I have had the drive belts changed at my local HiFi centre (cost £30).   I have demagnetised the heads.  I have tested all functions and recorded a type 1 C90 cassette (both sides) and it makes good recordings. 

No original packaging but item will be well packaged to ensure safe delivery. A copy of the user manual is included in the sale.
