4x5 R.B. Auto Graflex Folmer Schwing
Large Format Camera 1906-41
I am
offering a nice clean camera in Excellent + condition. This
beautiful vintage camera shows some use with wear on the leather covering. Please look at photos provided for
over-all condition. This is an SLR camera. Has a mirror and cloth shutter. Both
are in fine condition and works. Not sure how accurate. Lens is clean and clear but does have
slight haze and light cleaning (scratches) marks. When looking through the
viewfinder the image is clear so I am not sure what effect this would have on
the image, I would not think a whole lot. Close focus was simple but
distant objects I could not get it to focus. Not sure what I am doing wrong. UPDATE: I found out what I was doing
wrong. A kind person wrote to tell me that this lens belongs on the Graflex
Series D and not this camera. That is why I could not get distant objects
to focus. He thought I should split the lens and camera and sale them separate.
The cool silver lens looks great with this camera so I decided to keep it this
way and let you know it is the wrong lens. The lens in this sale is a Wollensak
7 ½” (190mm) f4.5 Raptar made in Rochester U.S.A.. If you wanted to take
photographs with this camera you would need to replace the lens. I was told
that the 4x5 RB auto
Graflex uses 10 inch 250mm lens as a standard which allows the camera to focus
to infinity. The camera is circa
