All our Plants are trained to have one Leader. This ensures a more Open Canopy, producing a faster growing tree. Our trees require much less pruning; the fruit is much easier to pick with considerably less damage to the limes.
WHY CHOOSE GRAFTED PLANTS?
-Grafted Limes give a predictable, manageable growth and fruit within two to three years of planting.
-Compared to seedlings or wild limes, they are also less vigorous with better adaptability to different soil types. A Bonus is their higher resistance to root rot.
-Grafted Limes can also be planted in Pots to make a fine display on Porches and Terraces. So, they can be moved around wherever wanted.

-Finger Limes, being native shrubs and trees, are easy to grow and look after, requiring no fungicide spraying, However, caterpillars and Scale insects are the main pests to look out for.

- Fruiting can be expected from January to May, with the fruit developing a more intense flavour and character as it keeps and matures for longer on the tree.
-Watering is essential during Summer, but over-watering or water-logging causes Stress to the trees, resulting in leaf loss or even death.
-During Winter, our plants can withstand medium Frosts of around -4 degrees C, though older, established plants can survive even lower temperatures.
-Finger Limes can be used in a myriad of exciting and wonderful ways, limited only by your imagination.
