These adaptors have been machined at 37.9 diameter giving them a tolerance of 0.01 clearance on the vinyl although depending on the manufacturer of the vinyl  some adaptors may have more play than others. These adaptors are not designed to clip into the vinyl, the vinyl sits over the adaptor.
