2008 MODULUS FUNK UNLIMITED FU-4 FOUR STRING BASS GUITAR IN ORANGE FLAKE W/ UPGRADES PLUS ORIGINAL MODULUS HARDSHELL CASE

This bass was purchased and custom built in 2008. It is in NEAR MINT condition and after close inspection, I could not find a nick, scratch, or dent on her. I'm listing it as NEAR MINT due to your average fret wear. But other than that, she is CLEAN!

This bass was custom built specifically for me.  I chose to go with the Orange Flake body and matching headstock. I also replaced the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop MM Pickup with the LANE POOR LEGACY MM Pickup. This is the same pickup that Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers uses on all his Modulus basses. I also added the BADASS II BASS BRIDGE to replace the Hipshot A-Style bridge. And finally, I replaced the original Bartolini NTBT preamp with the AGUILAR OBP-1 Preamp.

These basses retailed for about $4200 without ANY upgrades through the Modulus Graphite website. Unfortunately, in December of 2013, Modulus went out of business, thus making all the original Modulus basses a rare commodity. In 2015, they Modulus returned under Planet Bass, and are building custom basses to order. But this particular finish is not available. The Orange Flake finish with matching headstock, the very sought after Lane Poor Legacy pickups, and the immaculate condition of this bass will not disappoint.

I really hate to let this one go. I've owned at least 7 basses (I've lost count) over the past 10 years and this has by far been my favorite one. Once Modulus went out of business, I planned to keep this bass as a showpiece. But I plan to get married this year and the only reason it is up for sale is to help fundraise for an engagement ring for my soon to be fiancé. The bass will be shipped FedEx Ground and will be very carefully packaged and protected. It will come with the Original Modulus Hardshell Case. The case is fully functional with all latches working perfectly and some normal wear on the outside. Please refer to the pictures to get a better idea of its condition.
