Musikraft  4A Quartersawn Flame Maple Stratocaster Neck (Fender licensed)

Here is a new Musikraft Stratocaster neck, made in the USA under license from Fender.

The neck was custom ordered with the sames specs as a Fender Eric Clapton Stratocaster neck.
It has some unique refinements though making it superior to stock Fender/Warmoth/USACG/Musikraft necks, and a lot closer to a Masterbuilt Stratocaster neck.

# Fingerboard edges are heavily rolled.
By heavily, I don't mean Musikraft's option for rolled edges, nor do I mean the barely noticeable rolled edges of Fender USA Strats, or the sharp edges of stock Warmoth necks.
I mean the same highly rolled edges found on my Fender Todd Krause Masterbuilt Eric Clapton Stratocaster.
Unfortunately, this process takes several hours to do right, but the result is the same ultra comfortable feel only found on CS Masterbuilt instruments.

Given the highly rolled edges I would recommend this neck for Strats equipped with a modern (i.e. narrow) string spacing tremolos such as: Fender American Standard, Fender Highway #1 vintage-style tremolo (perfect retrofit for vintage tremolo but with narrow string spacing), Gotoh VS100N (fantastic bridge for tuning stability), or the narrow spacing vintage-style tremolo from Callaham.

# Frets are leveled, dressed, and polished.
While expensive, this often forgotten step is much needed for any new neck from Warmoth/USACG/Musikraft to ensure a neck plays optimally.

# I reshaped Musikraft's Clapton profile slightly to match that of my Todd Krause Masterbuilt guitar.
The end result is a 0.81" thickness at the 1st fret, and 0.91" at the 12th, and the same soft V that's ultra comfortable to play.

# I applied thin coats of semi-gloss polyurethane finish, for an ultra slick and fast playing feel. This is nothing like the thick finishes found on production line instruments.

# Last but not least, the neck is made of a single piece of highly figured (4A) quartersawn flame maple.
Finding high grade flame maple quartersawn neck is getting rare, and this one is especially beautiful. The quartersawn cut ensures rock solid neck stability and improved resonance.

• Kluson Vintage-style locking tuners:  these preserve the typical vintage look while maintaining perfect tuning stability. I especially like those (or the Gotoh variant) as they are significantly lighter than modern locking tuners from Fender/Schaller.
