Here is a wonderful 1965 commemorative 50tth anniversary Coca-Cola collectible of the iconic "Root" bottle that revolutionized how Coca-Cola was brought to market in 1916.

The Root Glass Company of Terre Haute patented the bottle design on November 16, 1915. The patent was completed in the name of Alexander Samuelson who was the plant superintendent of the Root Glass Company.

The design of the bottle was created to make the feel of the bottle so distinctive to Coca-Cola that a blind man could recognize the bottle by touch.

Once the Root Bottle was officially introduced it became the accepted standard package for all bottlers of Coca-Cola.

The commemorative box does have some cosmetic damage as pictured and the included paper informative brochure does have a tear but both are complete and fully functional. The Root Glass bottle itself is in excellent condition. The bottom of the bottle is embossed with "Commemorative 50th Root Patent 1915-1965".

Very desirable piece for any Coca-Cola collector.
