IMPORTANT NOTE: I finally was able to locate a blue flap and have repaired the houseboat. It is now complete, with an extra male, as I figured this family is probably wealthy enough to have hired a professional captain, so there needed to be a mom, dad, and 2 kids along. If you've been following the auction since the beginning, along the was I also have made several other changes over time, so please re-read if you have already read and are considering buying. To summarize quickly, I made all the people plastic because they do clean up better than wood and the ones I had looked better in plastic. AND I located 2 life preservers / vests so added them to the collection. PHOTOS ARE CORRECT FOR REVISIONS.

Total of 16 pieces in this auction.

Made from 1972 - 1976

Set is complete including the often missing blue flap/platform / deck on top of boat , which can be used as a sundeck as the lounge chairs fit up there, or the table, chairs and BBQ

COMPONENTS:
#985 Houseboat, nice lithos relatively speaking, though mildly faded due to use, and all other houseboat parts present and working correctly, including wheels on the bottom and boat lift

+ 6 Little People (including a dog) as follows:

1. Blue woman / female figure with yellow blond hair and "fancy eyes" - this Little People Figure was made for multiple sets, including as passenger on the Ferry Boat, also for School, Kitchen, Nursery, Patio, Airport, Jetport, Hospital, etc etc. One of the easier-to-find LP figures.  NOTE: I ORIGINALLY HAD AN ALL WOOD WOMAN BUT I DIDN'T LIKE HOW SHE LOOKED SO I SWAPPED HER OUT FOR A PLASTIC ONE

2. Girl, red body and yellow blonde hair. (I also swapped out a wood one and replaced with a plastic one)

3. Yellow smiling boy with red hat - plastic, as found on later sets (1974 on) - the hat is very good, not chewed or bent as is often the case

4. Tall white captain wearing a blue cap with a M-shape above the bill. This is the first all plastic Little People figure made by Fisher-Price (all versions of the Houseboat used the plastic captain).

5. ALL plastic dog with red collar, that came with the later versions of the Houseboat

6. Green dad (male) with black heat-stamped hair

All of these (except the added dad) are correct Little People figures for the Houseboat, in later years (1974+ - earlier years had some wood components).

+Accessories:
1. Round yellow plastic "backyard BBQ" style grill - I found a better one than I had earlier in the auction - this one has an EXCELLENT litho
2. Set of 2 yellow  plastic slatted "beach" lounge chair with short arm rests on the sides and a raised backrest (2 slats high)
3. Red large rectangular "picnic table" style table with a LOBSTER DINNER LITHO on the surface + 2 matching red captain's chairs - litho is good to very good
4. White top, Blue base 1-seat boat.
5. Set of 2 Yellow life preserver / life vests, as came with original set - apparently only the kids will be protected in case of a sinking :-)

This makes a complete set of accessories that originally came with the houseboat.

All items in nice, minimally played-with condition and from non-smoking pet-free home - all items were washed thoroughly with  hot water, Dawn, a little Goo-Gone where needed, toothpicks, and cotton swabs - in very good ready-to-play-with, or collectible, condition.

No obvious chew marks although these are played-with items and I won't warranty against the occasional ding, chew, fading, color differentiation, and other minor flaws. I don't sell items with broken ears, missing or very chewed hair or hats or anything else. Kids in my house played with most of my Fisher Price lots when little, and they were well cared-for, and didn't get destroyed - such sturdy toys.
