The 980 Cartridge holder has gold plated spring pins which not only provide a clean audio signal, they resist oxidation. The lead wires are silver plated copper strand, and insulated "to the tips", another measure to prevent oxidation. The center nut is a 4-40, the same as found on the original Empire sled. Cartridge mounting screws and nuts are not provided.
