Only 600 units were produced, with all of the proceeds from the sale of the jackets benefiting Boarding For Breast Cancer, a non-profit, youth-focused education, awareness, and fundraising foundation that focuses on creating awareness about breast cancer, the importance of early detection and the value of a healthy lifestyle.

The concept for the “Prom Knight” jacket began when Gerard, a long-time friend of Hurley, started customizing Hurley’s first blazer jacket released in Fall 2004, by cutting holes in the fabric, spray painting and adding safety pins. The collaboration of the “Prom Knight” jacket escalated from there... Greg Teal, Hurley Band Promotions Manager, asked Gerard if he would be interested in designing a custom blazer.

Keeping with his dark, yet sophisticated style, the “Prom Knight” jacket is a black slim-fit blazer with red satin lining, red stitching along the front pockets, lapels and distressing; and zipper cuffs. “I wanted something casual yet formal...kind of sleek. Something a gentleman would wear to a duel. The lapels are my favorite part...oh and it had to be black,” said Gerard.

Since only 600 pieces of the jacket were made, Hurley and Gerard agreed that it would be more fun to sell the jacket online to benefit Boarding for Breast Cancer. “Since the very beginning of B4BC, Hurley has always been a big supporter of our educational outreach efforts,” states B4BC executive director Justine Chiara.

The ‘Prom Knight’ jacket is a perfect example of how today's new breed of bands have this amazing, multi-dimensional concept of art. Not unlike My Chem's music, this jacket screams darkness, danger and the unique vibe that the band pushes. “

This jacket is all original, never worn, still in its original packaging. Size is Large (L). Would make a fantastic gift for an MCR fan. Very rare to find for sale.
