Beautiful PAIR (2 panels) of curtains, bespoke made to measure for its last home by Laura Ashley's home design service - care label attached - in their silk embroidery "LUCILLE" fabric in their MAUVE colour way - Eye-wateringly rare as the fabric has been discontinued for some time through LA, so indeed a treasured find!!

 To be clear you are bidding on ONE PAIR ( 2 panels) of curtains - tieback is NOT included

✿ CONDITION: Offered in excellent pre-owned condition with some light surface markings scattered around to commensurate with their previous life elsewhere. A few dust markings skirting the underside of the hem and a touch of fade to the lining.  Not a sign of fade any where to the face fabric, no droopy fibres, no rips, holes and most definitely nooooo suspect whiffs. I will say that I noted 2 parts where the embroidery is a little 'off' and does have a tiny bit of fabric puckering, but this affect nil really to the overall function and beauty of the curtains. See LAST picture BELOW.

Please do take the time to view ALL the pictures BELOW, where as always, I have picked out the worst offenders and dramatically magnified the little critters.

✿ FABRIC TEXTURE/COLOUR and DESIGN: Beautiful silk mix fabric that holds very subtle and random slubbing and graining through the weaving process which is a characteristic of silks and not to be mistaken for a fault, machine embroidered pattern of self repeating circles and trellis-like criss cross pattern. Solid "MAUVE"colour and paler in tone threading for the pattern, a seductive and most alluring shade of deep purple with a marvellous pearlescent dewy shimmer that can only be seen in silks. Sleek, subtle yet makes a great impact - perfect for almost any room setting, from traditional right through to the more modern setting.

Would look wonderful in almost any setting but a sincere must for that shabby cottage chic interior.

I have included a few pictures of the curtains sat against my Farrow and Ball paint chart for a broad indication of colour tones used, exact match is impossible, but the colours are a very near match to what is shown.

✿ LINING: Thermal bonded interlined which of course aids with insulation and serve to provide the curtains with a much more sumptuous and fuller drape.This also aids to protect the silk fabric to ensure a much more longer life.

✿ HEADER TYPE: Double pinch pleat header with plastic ratchets housing glider hooks - none missing. A formal header type which have the fabric gather/pleating set at the time of sewing so the curtains hold a marvellous proud and elegant hang. This does mean that the widths will NOT adjust, so please check your measurements carefully, and of course do ping me a message if you are stuck. These can be used for both tracks and poles systems. 

Measurements per curtain panel laid flat +/- 2cm

Width (side to side) along the hem 173 cm or 68.1 inches, fixed along the header to 93 cm or 36.6 inches
Drop (top to bottom) 255 cm or 100.4 inches - includes header but excludes a good 3 inch hem

Should their attempts be unsuccessful, the item will be returned back to me where a 2nd delivery charge will become applicable. Do ensure that a correct contact telephone number is provided as this is required to complete your booking with the carrier.

✿ It is the BUYERS responsibility to request insurance which covers for the FULL final selling price of the item as the standard level of cover is normally £20-£50 therefore should you not cover for the full cost then the amount recovered should there be a loss or damage in transit would only be this amount only. Should the need to claim for insurance due to damages to your item in transit, details will be forwarded onto you to file the claim, I will of course assist as much as I possibly can.

✿ Sadly NO personal collections from my home; however, I understand that you may live very close by to me so am happy to arrange to meet in a public place near my home.

Unpaid item disputes will be logged automatically after 2 days after auction/listing end and you MAY lose your right(s) to the item. ✿ Accepted forms of payment is/are: PAYPAL - if you are using e-cheques please allow sufficient time for this to clear with paypal as your item will not be released for dispatch until the e-cheque has cleared. Postal orders in GB sterling and bankers cheques, which again will require bank clearance before your item gets dispatched. For items of furniture that require PICK UP is is only cash upon collection and/or bank transfer, please refer to your user agreement on paypal for why their services cannot extend to items requiring personal collection.

Curtains do NOT come with any hardware i.e hooks to hang and should your item arrive with hooks, take it as a FOC gift from me ;)

The mass proportion of what I sell are "one offs" and will almost always have had been pre-owned and homed/used elsewhere; thus by their very nature will exhibit inconspicuous signs to indicate their previous life. Any significant markings, stains, blemishes, rips etc etc will always be highlighted and more than often will be accompanied by a picture of the offender(s), therefore take the time to EXAMINE all the pictures. In the interests of hygiene please ensure that you have accounted for the need to have such items washed/cleaned/freshened before using. The cleaning costs is NOT my responsibility and again, this is a cost that you should factor when purchasing SECOND HAND or PRE-OWNED products.
