MONTBLANC GREAT CHARACTERS ANDY WARHOL LIMITED EDITION 1928 ROLLERBALL PEN.

Brand New Never Been Used was sealed until today 14/06/17 however decided to open as a customer enquired and thought it best to add the more detailed photos , so was handled with cotton gloves for the photos .

The Andy Warhol limited edition Released last year and according to montblanc these very rare 1928 limited edition versions are all but sold out apparently only a couple of display models left worldwide.

The impetus for the design of the Limited Edition 1928 comes from Warhol’s powerful work Flowers, 1964. 4 flower motifs in characteristically bold colours are placed in the style of this work in a 2 by 2 formation on the cap. The silkscreen printing technique Warhol mastered and refined is recalled in the clip, which is shaped like a squeegee. As a reference to the on-going commentary on commercialism made by Warhol’s art, the cone is embellished with one of Warhol’s chosen symbols for this discourse: the barcode. The dollar sign engraved on the handcrafted 750 gold nib is from his 1981 Dollar Signs series. In a tribute to Warhol’s legendary studio The Silver Factory, the barrel is silver coloured. This Edition is limited to 1928 pieces in honour of the year of Andy Warhol’s birth.

As the item is sealed I can't really produce any interesting photos to view , so the first two photos are library photo , the third and fourth photos are of the sealed box with the montblanc labels.

This is one of the first hundred so more desirable than the higher numbers , this one is number 79/1928

This pen retails at £ 2235 so it's a hefty price but available at a discount right here .
