This distinctive vertical draw western holster was wet formed to an 1851 Colt Navy revolver with a std. 7 1/2" barrel. It is made of 8-9 oz. vegetable tanned Hermann Oak cowhide dyed black. It has a "looped rope" border, a latigo hammer loop and tie-down, and a cross strap bearing a Texas star concho.  It is hand saddle-stitched and liberally oiled with Lexol and lanolin.  The matching of-the-period 1 3/4" straight gunbelt is made of 10 oz. steer hide and sports a 1 3/4" brass California clipped corner buckle.  I will contact the buyer after the sale to determine the exact waist size of the intended carrier.
