If you are not familiar with this specific tent, please look closely at the photos I provided.    There is no hardware included and to use this tent you would likely need, at least, tie-ropes.

The matching canvas bag that this tarp is stored in has a lot of instructions and illustrations printed on the outside.   In addition to using ropes for tension, you can see how this tent would be held up using branches found in the woods - as well as held up by setting it up under a tree limb.    The perimeter of the canvas has numerous ties that could be used to stake it into the ground or stretched between structures or trees.    There is a tie on top middle which would be the connector, via a rope probably, to a tree branch above.

This canvas would also be very useful for a sun-cover at the beach - it would require a little inventiveness - but not much .

In the text, it is described as being for two boys  - but I see no reason why 2 girls couldn't use it (just an attempt at a joke).    It is 11.5' along the long edge and so it would be suitable for adult use too.   Also in the text :   Water-repellent   - and "lightweight".     I would say that this no longer qualified as lightweight when nylon camping gear came into use.   I was going to refer to the canvas as "heavy weight" until I read that description - so I guess I shouldn't include that.

The approx measurements are 112"  x  128"

I think the comment about the tent being for boys to use for camping adds to the sense that this tent probably dates to the 1960's.

The canvas is pristine  - might have a few dry blades of grass sandwiched in after I did lay it out  - but this is a New Old Stock tent.   The canvas bag has some staining  - might be cleaned, not certain.   Whatever stained it might not be that strong  -  but the stain might have been there for 50 years.

Update:
I sold two of these to a single buyer in Ohio and shipping was $30.   I refunded the difference to that buyer hsince my original listed shipping cost was much higher.    I have reduced the cost of shipping on this listing now but still left it high enough to cover shipping to, for example, a west coast buyer.     If you buy - please pay shipping cost as shown on the invoice and, once I ship, I will refund any reduction in cost that can be realized.
