Works great , well made and sturdy. It is thin enough for the door to shut with no problem yet sturdy enough to hold a fairly heavy ironing board securely. On the back side of the door it hangs down 9". The hooks stick out 2" from the back of the door with plastic covering tips to protect the board. With the ironing board attached the total it sticks out is 3" from the back of the door. Would easily fit over a door up to 1 5/8' thick. Highly recommend ironing board holder. Durable, painted metal construction.
