The De Luxe original pie pan dial in off white (signed 'Omega'; 'Automatic'; 'Chronometer - Officially Certified'; 'Constellation' and 'Swiss Made') is in extremely good original condition, requiring no restoration beyond a thorough clean. Under large magnification there is some speckling beginning to appear on the dial but this is not apparent to the naked eye. The dial is mounted with hand rivetted raised steel bar hour markers, dauphine stainless steel hour and minute hands and a smoothly sweeping steel centre second hand.

The watch measures 34mm in diameter excluding the original signed crown and the lug width is 18mm.

The watch case with rare dog-leg lugs and the screw-fit case back are stainless steel. Both are in excellent condition with little sign of wear having been sympathetically professionally polished and the case back of course bears the essential Observatory and stars logo showing little sign of wear.

The caseback is signed 'Omega Watch Co'; 'Swiss Made';
'Acier Inoxydable' and stamped '168.005' which, along with the 25,xxx,xxx movement serial number and the Grade 1 Calibre 564 movement, dates this watch accurately to 1967. Please see below the extract from Omega's vintage database pertinent to this case reference.

The early 5xx series of automatic rotor driven movements is considered by many to be among the most robust and reliable ever made by the Omega Watch Company.
Produced in the glory years of Omega in-house manufactured movements, this Grade 1 Calibre 564 Chronometer date example with quick-set feature is in excellent condition and running strongly having been fully stripped down, cleaned, oiled and serviced by a professional watchmaker. It is offered with a full year's warranty as a result.

The 24 jewel chronometer movement is signed 'Omega Watch Co. Swiss'; '24 Jewels'; '564' and 'adjusted 5 positions and temperature' as you would expect. In addition, t
he '1' numeral visible above the movement calibre number indicates a 'Grade 1' movement as identified by the manufacturer.

The movement, hands and date feature adjust perfectly from the Omega signed knurled steel crown which also operates smoothly.

This lovely old timepiece is supplied fitted with a genuine new black leather Omega strap with matching stainless steel Omega buckle which sets off the steel features of the watch beautifully and looks stunning on the wrist. I will happily fit alternative straps on request.

Please examine the pictures closely to confirm the description and exceptional condition of this quite exceptional vintage Omega.
