These great checkbook wallets were made from himalayan hemp in the Kingdom of Nepal. The gentleman who made it is an excellent tailor whom I had the pleasure of meeting on my overland travels throughout asia. Both the hemp material, and the workmanship are of high quality. The inside of the wallet is lined for a soft feel, and all of the seams are well stitched for maximum durability and long lasting use. In the closed position, the wallet measures approximately 9 1/2" long x 4 1/2" wide. When opened, it measures approximately 9 1/2" long x 10 1/2" wide. Inside there are 4 card slots, 2 open pockets, and two zippered pockets. The wallet closes with a strip of velcro that runs the length of the wallet. A great wallet! New! Checkbook wallets are now available in dyed GREEN and BLACK ...winning bidders may choose either color instead if they wish :) Please visit our store for smaller 3-fold wallets in a wide array of colors and embroidery options...Also, these check book wallets are available with embroidery now too, but in very limited quantities...
Every year the hemp crop is different and so each wallet tends to be unique. Most of the wallets are similar to the color in the photos shown above, however a few are lighter, and a few darker like the ones pictured below...buyers of this listing may request a darker or lighter one and we will try to accomodate you while quantities last...
