(this is because those devices (and some others), use specific resistance-identification modes when connecting to USB; —the resistance is not available on standard USB power-sources (like this), and so will not charge...)
A useful rule of thumb is that if your device will only work with the charger &/or cable made for it by the manufacturer, then it probably won't work with this power-source.
