This is an Interesting unframed Original Etching Print, on SILK, by AUSTRIAN / AUSTRALIAN Artist, FREDERICK HALPERN, (born Austria 1909 - ). It is signed lower right, and was produced around 1940. It is titled, "GARMISCH, ALPSPITZE, BAVARIA", and shows a Mountain of Alpspitze, near the the Resort town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in Bavaria.  An impressive Printed artwork, on Silk. It is a Limited Edition Artist's Proof only. It is unframed. The Print is in Excellent Condition, but there is some matt burn, outside the image.

HALPERN, Frederick; (born Austria, 1909-). A 20^th Century Artist and Etcher. He studied painting and printmaking in both Vienna, and Paris. He was well travelled,  and visited Egypt in 1926, and journeyed throughout Africa, and Asia. He came to Australia in the early 1950’s. He also Extensively visited New Zealand, Java, and Bali, and Thailand. He wrote and Illustrated a number of books on these regions. His talents in Colour Etching , and Black and white, were com-parable to artworks by Luigi Kasimir, Hans Figura, and Max Pollack. His artworks, are included in Public and Private Collectons around Australia and overseas. His art is also included in the National Gallery in Canberra, Australia.

It is in Excellent Condition, on silk and measures, 13 1/2 inch by 10 3/4 inch, (34.2cm x 27.8cm). (Image size).
