The Highway Rat (HB)
'Give me your buns and your biscuits! Give me your chocolate eclairs! For I am the Rat of the highway, and the Rat Thief never shares'! Life is not safe for the other animals, as the villainous Highway Rat gallops along the highway, stealing their food. Clover from a rabbit; nuts from a squirrel - he even steals his own hose's hay. Will he finally meet his comeuppance, in the form of a cunning duck? This is a fabulous, rollicking rhyme, in the style of the famous Alfred Noyes poem, "The Highwayman", from the authors of "The Gruffalo" and "Zog".

Stickman
"Stick Man lives in the family tree With his Stick Lady Love and their stick children three." But it's dangerous being a Stick Man. A dog wants to play with him, a swan builds her nest with him. He even ends up on a fire! Will he ever get back to the family tree?

Cave Baby (HB)
A hairy mammoth takes a cheeky little baby on a thrilling ride through a moonlit landscape populated by a sabre-toothed tiger, a leaping hare, a laughing hyena and even, just maybe, by a big brown bear . . . But where are they going? And what has it to do with the babys scribblings on the cave wall?

Toddle Waddle
There's a hullabaloo at the seaside when a toddler takes his friends on a stroll to the end of the pier. Hurry scurry, flip flop, toddle waddle. With jaunty rhymes and bright, bold pictures even the youngest child will love this simple, playful story.

One Mole Digging a Hole
All the animals are busy lending a hand in the garden in this lively numbers book! The parrots are pulling up carrots, the bears are picking pears and a swarm of bees are pruning the trees with their miniature shears. Julia Donaldsons whimsical rhymes and Nick Sharratts hilarious illustrations make this book a delight to share out loud. With plenty to giggle at on every page, counting " or gardening " has never been so much fun!

Not Me Said The Monkey

Hippo Has a Hat
There's chaos in the clothes shop when the animals go on a glorious shopping spree. Zebra's zip is stuck and Toad's tracksuit is far too big, but Flamingo finds a stylish bag, and Caterpillar's shoes are really cool. You've never seen a fashion show like it!

Pardon? Said The Giraffe
Chocolate Mousse for Greedy Goose

"Chocolate mousse!" says greedy Goose. "Don't just grab it," says angry Rabbit. Good manners aren't on the menu at this meal. Duck won't eat his carrots. Moth's eating the cloth, and Sheep would rather sleep than wash the dishes. Thank goodness some of the animals know how to behave!

Rosie's Hat
Because this isn't just any old hat. It can also be a toy for a dog, a hiding-place for a mouse, a frisbee for some children and a nest for some birds. Surely poor Rosie will never find her hat again . . . or will she?

One Ted Falls Out of Bed
When Ted falls out of bed, three tearaway mice whisk him off on a breathtaking adventure. They zoom around in fast cars, go on a balloon ride and climb a building-block mountain. It's all very exciting, but will it get Ted back to bed?

Go Tell It To The Toucan
This jungle tale reads as a long joke, furnished with a hilarious punch line. A simple scenario is established, and the lively, repetitive text builds up to the satisfying end twist, which is guaranteed to tickle even the most reluctant reader. Great fun to read aloud, this lively story is perfect as an early reader and bears many repeated readings, when the punch line can be gleefully pre-empted.

Have You Seen The Crocodile?
The parrot, the bumble bee, the frog, the hummingbird - evryone keeps asking if anyone has seen the crocodile and the answer is always no. Little do they realize how close the cunning crocodile actually is!

Oddly
Meet the Lostlet, twirling a golden leaf, and asking the questions: Where am I? What do I hope for? Meet the Stranglet, holding a smooth white pebble, asking: What am I? What do I dream of? Meet the Oddlet, listening intently to a pink seashell, asking: Who am I? What do I wish for? Lost in their own little worlds, the three creatures are powerless to find answers ... until a little boy appears, asking the very same questions and who seems even stranger, odder, and more lost than they. Offering comfort to the child, the Lostlet, the Strangelet and the Oddlet discover their hearts' deepest desires and their new friend helps make their wishes and dreams come true.

I'm Talking Big
A collection of children's most requested poems by a Kurt Maschler award-winner. When Colin McNaughton says he's talking big, he means BIG. Meet monsters, dinosaurs, giants and many other larger-than-life characters in this hugely enjoyable selection of funny verse and pictures. I'm Talking Big! has been inspired by the many children's events that Colin has attended, and is made up of the poems his young audience ask to hear the most often. A humorous interview between Colin and a 'reader' at the end is also based on the most commonly asked questions he faces from his many fans. Daft and daring, this hilarious, madcap collection will delight all who read it.

The Dunderheads
Dunderheads, unite! A tyrannical teacher gets her just due in a delightfully
subversive, outrageously funny tale by Newbery Medal winner Paul Fleischman.
Miss Breakbone hates kids. Especially the time-squandering, mindwandering, doodling, dozing dunderheads in her class. But when she confiscates Junkyards crucial fi nd, she fi nally goes too far. Enter Wheels (and his souped-up bike with forty-eight extra gears), Pencil (who can draw anything from memory), Spider (look up and youll fi nd him), and their fellow misfi ts in a spectacular display of teamwork aimed at teaching Miss Breakbone a lesson she wont soon forget.
