Dimensions: 10 1/2 inches wide x 7 inches tall x 2 inch deep (base). Strap Drop (distance from top of chain strap to top of bag) = 7 inches. Top frame = 8 inches long opens to square/rectangle = 5 inches across.
Condition: Good to Very Good pre-owned Vintage. Wonderful sturdy clear vinyl bag, intricately decorated on the exterior with wavy loops made from white vinyl spiral wrapped heavy duty thread (like a mini telephone cord), sewn in place across entire surface! Gives the appearance of tiny white beads! No pulls, no missing loops, no unravelling, no holes in vinyl bag body. Brass finished steel hinged frame showing a great deep patina from age & some brass tone wear, no oxidization, twist top clasp fastens securely. Brass tone heavy chain carry strap joined to frame with large brass tone rings (ring openings welded solidly closed). One ring incised Germany & what could be maker's marks/signature on opposite side of the ring that is illegible even with a loupe magnifier. A little age yellowing, no crackling, no creasing, no cracks. c1930's to 1940's (pre-GDR/Western Germany). A great collectible useful retro evening bag!!
