LIONEL TYPE ZW, 275 WATT TRAINMASTER TRANSFORMER

LOT DESCRIPTION: As the title says this lot consists of the classic LIONEL TYPE ZW, 275 WATT TRAINMASTER TRANSFORMER capable of running 4 trains at one time. The literally don’t make them like this anymore. Even after over 65 years the powerful ZW is still the best way to deliver raw power to your layout. And to quote from a recent issue of Classic toy trains: "It's with good reason that the ZW remains the choice of many operators, even after nearly 65 years. Other firms (including the Lionel Corp's successors) have tried to match it, but the ZW remains the gold standard"

DESCRIPTION OF CONDITION: This ZW is in great shape. No cracks or breaks in the case, all wire terminals are solid, lettering and numbers nice and clear, no cracks or breaks on the handles, no rust on the base. Electrical cord is original and in fine shape. All 4 rollers have been checked out and are fine. No issues here at all. Again a great looking ZW in excellent condition, check out the pictures to see what I mean.

WORKING CONDITION: I have checked out the ZW and all 4 controllers deliver over 20 volts of power, both whistle controllers work perfect as does the two direction controllers, all four rollers in fine shape and the electrical cord is fine. A great transformer ready for another 50+ years of service!.
