Measuring 8 inches tall and 4 inches across at the widest, this great pair feature a male and female figure
Against a floral background, with two highly stylized flowers flanking them left and right.
Unmarked except for the molded number "14" on their reverse side base and with a "58" and "73" in red enamel overglaze
Marking the interior of them.
The pair were molded slightly off kilter, their base back being thinner than the rest of the base, when they were ground
To level them to hold a candle upright the base backs became very thin and chipped easily, which they did, as shown.
The candle cup of the girl candlestick was broken at some point in t he past and the old repair can be seen if you look for it,
Though this could easily be restored to hide the damage.
A wonderful addition to any High Victorian, romantic interior, this pair could be easily drilled to create a pair of bedroom or
Buffet lamps, and would look great in a powder room or on a dressing room vanity.
