NOTE: This stator is for engines with DC fired CDI systems (some year Helix and Elite scooters use AC fired ignition systems) The two types have physical differences so just look closely at my pictures to be sure this is the one your need,
AC or DC? If your engine will run with NO battery, you have an AC system, To test if you have an AC or DC system, just turn the key on/engine off, check the power wire (see pictures for wiring & additional info) if you have 12 volts, you have a DC fired system, if not, it is AC fired, NOTE: if you have an AC system you will only get voltage to the power wire when the engine is cranking or running).
