This is a very good Antique Victorian Silver Inkstand with two Glass Bottle Inkwells.  The inkstand is of a navette shape and has a pierced galleried sides with a beaded pattern following the outline of the top rim.  At the upturned rounded ends there is also a pierced scroll pattern and it stands on 4 claw and ball feet.  It has two tall  fixed oval silver pierced galleried stands which have the beaded pattern around the top rims and where the inkwells sit snuggly.  The cut glass inkwells have ribbed bodies finished with a silver collar and then a  flat hinged silver lid which again have the beaded pattern around the rims.  The stand is made from a good guage of silver and the stand, the inkwell holders, the silver lids and the collars all have clear hallmarks

Dimensions: The stand is 11 inches long, 4.25 inches wide and 2.75 inches tall at the rounded ends.  The silver inkwell holders are 1.5 inches tall, 2.5 inches long and 2 inches wide at their widest point.  The inkwells are 2 inches tall, just over 2 inches long and 1.75 inches wide at their widest point.  The silver collars and lids are 0.5 inch tall.  The weight of the silver stand is 276g and the total weight including the inkwells is 515g  

Condition:  It is in very good condition, but there is one butterfly nut missing (there should be 4 in total, 2 each for securing the silver galleried inkwell stands), however even with one missing the stand is still secure

Remarks:  This really is a very good antique solid silver and glass 2 bottle inkstand that would look impressive on any desk
