The Macally "Covermate" case is similar to the Apple "Smartcover" but this comes with an additional clear shell for the back of your iPad. Thus, the front AND back of your iPad will be protected with this case. The front cover is removable to accommodate user preference.
DESIGN: This is a two-part case. Simply snap your iPad into the form-fit clear hard shell. Then the front cover will latch onto the clear hard shell. When you close the front panel, and your iPad is concealed/protected. The interior of the case is lined with soft microfiber so your iPad will not get scratched.
AUDIO AMPLIFIER: This is a great feature that we have not seen elsewhere. As you know the speaker is on the back of your iPad - this case has a slightly elevated chamber that redirects the sound toward you. This case uses simple old-school acoustic science to make your iPad sound better/louder
SLEEPER MODE: This case supports the iPad's magnetic on/off switch (aka Sleeper Mode) on the iPad 3 and iPad 4. Close the case and the iPad automatically goes to sleep. Flip open the case and your iPad will wake up. This is great feature because you will conserve battery.
