High quality replacement UVC ultraviolet germicidal tube for pond water clarification, to destroy suspended algae (green water) surface, air and water sterilisation. Germicidal lamps use a special glass that transmits ultra-violet light in a spectral band that can be effective for sterilisation. A proven technology for the destruction of air-borne bacteria, viruses and mould spores. Improved system efficiency when installed in HVAir Conditioning (HVAC) units by reducing bacterial and mould growth. The UVC wavelength of 254nm will inactivate bacteria, viruses, mould, and cysts by preventing DNA replication.
They fit a wide range of pond UV clarifier's such as the Tropical Marine Centre Pond Clear and Pro Clear (TMC), Hozelock Eco Power box filters, Fish Mate, Yamitsu Algae Master UV's from Kockney Koi and many other brands. Please ensure you have the correct bulb before purchasing.
UV bulb should be replaced every 6 to 12 months to ensure optimum performance and clarity.
UV bulb used for sterilisation purposes should be replaced every 6 months ( approx 4000 hours)
UV bulb used for clarification of ponds can be replaced every 12 months ( approx 8000 hours)
When changing UV lamp we recommend you clean the quartz sleeve.
These Replacement UV bulbs are NOT for
aquarium use or aquarium lighting.
Please note this product can NOT be used submersed in an aquarium.
