This lead is Hand made from high quality Oxygen Free screened audio cable (less interference). And Now with The Extra Added Earth/Ground leads to REDUCE the possibility of MAINS HUMM when connecting up to a Turntable or Record Player.
This Extra lead is connected to the OUTER SHELL on the 5 Pin Din Socket (please note that some brands of Turntables are wired differently using Pin 2 of the Din plug.) Please check with your turntable specifications if unsure or contact me for further information.
Plus Some Turntables require an additional Pre amp ( RIAA) to increase the level of signal . Dedicated Phono/Turntable inputs normally have these built in . However Other inputs such as "AUX" do not, Please check your system before ordering or contact me for further information.
This Adapter is NOT designed to connect directly to a Turntable Arm.TIP:
When connecting a turntable to an Amplifier That requires 2 phono inputs PLUS an addiction earth connection ( Usually a separate screw point often situated to the side of the dedicated "Phono or Turntable" input) This extra lead helps to reduce the Buzz of the mains hums of the turntables motor often picked up by the sensitivity of the cartridge being sent down the cables to the amp!! Please Note that Some Turntables have a built in pre-amp (RIAA) where as others do not and may need an external phono amp to achieve the correct output ! email me with your Turntable model if unsure.
