1967 Ford Mustang Tilt Steering Column Paintable Steel Floor Shift

This retrofit column is designed to fit your Mustang. This Ford style column features all Ford wiring and a Ford top shaft and will bolt to your stock box. To install, simply remove your old column, saving your original under dash mount. A new floor mount is included with every column and is designed to fit your application. This column has a collapsible inner shaft. Using an Ididit installation kit (see below), install your new steering column in place of the old. Add your stock Mustang wheel and the gripping surface will be in the same location as the original.
To us the term "Retrofit" means ididit Inc. has done the research, and have designed and developed a column that will fit your specific vehicle, often times with NO modification required to your vehicle. This means that when you buy one of their retrofit columns you are getting a perfectly engineered aftermarket column that will fit in the original steering column location, and in most cases, will also put the steering wheel in its original location. This is NOT a stock replacement. When producing these retrofit columns, ididit Inc. may have only had to make minor adjustments to the standard column, like moving the wiring slot, changing the shaft size and length, or adjusted the size of the lower cone. Or they may have built the column from the ground up in order to make it fit just right in your vehicle. They've done the work so you won't have to!

In order to successfully accomplish this ididit must assume a few things:
One, you will be using an aftermarket wheel with your ididit retrofit column.
Two, the gearbox, firewall and dash have not been modified from their original state. This is the key to a perfect fit.

The 1967 Mustang used two types of stock boxes. "Long" and "Short". The "Long" box had one piece of shafting from the box to the upper shaft of the steering column. The "Short" box was attachd to the column with a rag joint.
