Description - Lovely vintage 1920s good gauge solid silver Christening tankard of tapering bellied form and raised on a stepped base.
The tankard has an inscription dated 1929.
Fully hallmarked with the Anchor for Birmingham assay, the lion passant indicating 925 grade solid sterling silver, the date letter "D" for the year 1931 and the maker's mark "J.G LTD" which is Joseph Gloster Ltd
Condition - There are no dents, dinks, dints, splits, holes or repairs.
The base has some knocks (please see end photograph.
Dimensions & Weight - The tankard is 5.8cm in diameter x 7.2cm high.
The weight is 73.6 grams.
