Necklace

A fantastic necklace by Askew of London, a sought after jewellery designer. It is signed on the back of the clasp on a small panel Askew London. The necklace is made from silver tone metal which areas having a lighting japaned effect. This is how it was made, although the necklace probably has gained a light patina too since this is a vintage necklace. The necklace is very well made. Articulated links allow it to fit around the neck perfectly (see photograph). The necklace is approx. 16 inches in length (possibly a fraction over) and secures with a push in/pull out clasp. It has two bands running around the top edge which are ribbed and these are set like bricks. Beneath are small flowers with each flower having a small pear shaped dangle hanging. In between each flower and dangle shape there is a large elongated eye shaped metal bead. The band formed by all this decoration is approx. 1 inch deep. Very attractive and in very good vintage condition.
