Praktica SLR cameras have a reputation of high quality and "Working horse". They are very popular among proffesional and amateur people in 70 - 80'. Lots of them are still in use like this one and will last for many years to come.
Condition of the camera body:Camera is in very good condition cosmetically, only few signs of shallow scratches and paint loss. Takes very good photos with little effort. Shutter speeds are appropriate at all levels. Exposure metre is working. A new light seal behind the door hinge is fitted. There are few line signs in view finder. It is also extraordinarily clean inside,but the self-timer has not been tested.
The camera will accept any M42 lens with manual or automatic aperture control. If you are looking for a simple, solid and fully controllable camera, this is the one that can offer you all these features. You can even take pictures without batteries!
From my experience, lots of Praktica cameras and lenses available on Ebay have some kind of faults because of all sorts of reasons and sellers either are not aware of the faults or don't want to mention them. So be careful when you are bidding!

Compatibility:This is a manual focus camera designed to work with all M42 mount with manual or automatic aperture control lenses which are easily available on Ebay and elsewhere. M42 mount was the most widely used lens mount in the world. It is also called ‘universal mount’, so that there are tons of M42 lenses in Ebay to fit this camera.
