Very Rare Large Antique Sampson Mordan Solid Silver Carpenters Pencil, 1911 

Description

A very rare antique solid sterling silver carpenters pencil made by Sampson Mordan. Oval shaped pencil with a hobnail design on either side & a nicely designed rectangular monogrammed cartouche on one side. Suspension loop on the top & the plain bottom section pulls out with the internal pencil attached. Fully hallmarked on the side of the body. Lovely collectors item.

Condition.

Excellent condition with light surface marks that are consistent with genuine age, use & polishing. There are two very tiny dings on one side of the plain pull out section, this can be seen in the photographs above.
