Size:  6" tall x 8" wide x 7" deep. This is a very detailed 1 piece solid resin building - not a plastic 'kit'.

Condition - Never used, never displayed. Your valuable collectible is well packed, protected and in great shape!
This set comes in original box still sealed from the factory. The outer box shows some wear from being on a shelf for 16 years! The 2 cars shown in a couple of the pictures on the outer box are props - the cars are not included in this listing.


This exquisitely detailed restaurant model depicts a Kentucky Fried Chicken circa 1950s. The distinctive building features a red and white striped roof, red cupola, and Colonel Sanders' picture on the walls and the bucket sign. The slogan "It's Finger Lickin' Good" appears near the roof, and the tall sign features a bucket on top of a yellow arrow, pointing the way to a delicious lunch or dinner. This piece is incredible, made of heavy duty resin. It is a great addition to a HO train set or city display.

Harland Sanders began his career as a chef at the age of 40 when he began serving chicken and other dishes at the service station he owned in North Corbin, Kentucky, in 1930. He called the dining area "Sanders Court & Café" and began perfecting the blend of 11 spices and cooking methods that would make his chicken famous around the world. In 1935, Kentucky Governor Ruby Laffoon gave Sanders the title of "Kentucky Colonel" for his contribution to the state's cuisine. Sanders began to call himself "Colonel" and dress in stereotypical Southern clothing to promote his image and that of his restaurant. In 1937, the Colonel expanded operations into a motel and full restaurant. Most of the business he enjoyed came from travelers, especially those heading through to Florida. When Interstate 75 was proposed, with a new route drawing many of the motorists away from North Corbin, the Colonel sold his properties and began to travel the country, selling his chicken recipe to restaurants in return for a share of the profits. By 1960, there were 600 Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise outlets in the USA and Canada. Colonel Sanders sold his interest in the company in 1964 for $2 million, leaving behind a legacy and image that would be recognized anywhere in the world. The Original Recipe, handwritten by Sanders, and vials of the 11 different herbs and spices included in the recipe are kept in a locked vault in the KFC corporate headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky. Only two executives have access to the recipe, and the company uses multiple suppliers to ensure that only a couple of ingredients come from any one source.
