From time to time I put up a group of brass putters that I put on the polisher to bring out their original beauty.  You can imagine what these guys looked like decades ago when they were new.  Some have seen a bunch of play and have the dents in the soft brass to show for it, but nothing has the feel of a real brass head putter.   So here you have a nice collection of a lot of different shapes and sizes to see what suits you best for the price of 1 decent used putter.  Plus, nothing shakes up your game like changing the putter when you are 3 putting.  The pictures are hard to take for something shiny like a brass putter.  They are all polished up nice.   The Ping was the hardest to polish with the most complex shape and the hardest brass alloy.   Very difficult especially with all the recesses, etc.  

Anyhoo, look nice on the shelf, at the office, or use as you see fit.   I will describe each and you can verify them in the pictures:

1. 35" acushnet bullseye 5-a original putter with the typical smooth acushnet shaft and original black flat sided grip which also is in pretty good shape for its age which is still soft and grippy without cracks or hardness.  The 5-a is a nice design because it works for righty or lefty putting.   

2. 35" acushnet bullseye FL 5-s (flange - right handed) original putter with the typical smooth acushnet shaft and a replacement lamkin black flat sided grip which also is in pretty good shape for its age.   a little harder than above, but without cracks or problems and quite useable.

3.  35" acushnet bullseye standard putter with the typical smooth acushnet gold shaft and original BULLSEYE black flat sided grip which is hard and cracking but useable.  The standard is like the 5-a that it is a nice design because it works for righty or lefty putting.   

4. 36" Gold Diamond II by Cougar flange right handed putter with a stepped stainless steel tru temper TT lite cougar shaft fitted with the brown cougar semi-flat grip that has a a few cracks in it, but other than that is in surprisingly good condition.  This is the one with the diamond pattern on the back of the flange, etc.  

5.  34.5" Ping A-Blade with original ping shaft semi-stepped stainless steel shaft and a golf pride pro score hard flat sided grip that is cracking and just a bit better than #3. 

6. finally there is the 35.25" Ben Hogan "His Own" (best I can tell) putter with a stepped stainless steel shaft with a first time for me seeing one, golf pride line rite square grip.  Yup, 4 flat sides.  Never seen one before. 

so if you are looking for vintage putters with the ugly patina on them, keep looking, there are plenty on ebay.  but if you like something that shines like a new trumpet, then look no further.
