31.56ct Valuable Genuine Israel Eilat Stone Cabochon. Named after the city of Eilat, the southern most city of Israel and located on the north end of the Red Sea. Cut from old rough mined near the old King Solomon mine and thus the reason this stone is often referred to as King Solomon Stone, I was able to convince my source to cut the last of his rough and I purchased all he had while at the Tucson Gem Show. This copper based stone has a unique combination of chrysocolla, malachite, azurite and turquise giving it a very attractive mix of mainly bright blues and rich greens with possible brownish beige and/or blackish, opaque, free of significant unnatural flaws, with very nice face up and eye appeal. Overseas cabochon free form cut approx. 36.59 x 22.08 x 5.72 mm. Beautiful possible pendant stone!
