MILTON I. LEVINE (1901-1993) maintained a private pediatric practice for more than 40 years. He wrote books and newspaper articles and made broadcast appearances. He was an emeritus clinical professor of pediatrics at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center, where he started on the staff in 1928. Dr. Levine was the author or co-author of several books about bringing up children, including "THE PARENTS ENCYCLOPEDIA," which he wrote with his wife,  "A BABY IS BORN" and the book being offered here, "THE WONDER OF LIFE."  THE BOOK has 114 pages with 7 pages of a helpful Glossary. There are also over 40 illustrations, mostly line drawings. In this small book, one will learn about life--how it began what living things are made of, how some animals reproduce, the sexual maturity of male and female, the developmental stages of the fetus, how babies are born, about twins, quadruplets & quintuplets and a bit about family resemblances.
